ResumePunch is an AI-powered resume enhancement tool. We believe in being straightforward about how we handle your data—no walls of legal text, just the facts.

  • We process your resume text through AI to improve it
  • We use Stripe for payments (we never see your card details)

  • We don't sell your data to anyone
  • We keep things minimal and delete what we don't need

What Data We Collect

Resume Content

When you paste your resume text into ResumePunch, we collect that text to process it through our AI system. This may include your name, work history, education, skills, and other information you choose to include.

Payment Information

When you purchase an enhanced resume, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that payment was successful, but we never see, store, or have access to your credit card number or banking details. Stripe handles all sensitive payment data under their own security standards (PCI-DSS compliant).

Technical Data

We may collect minimal technical data necessary to operate the service: IP address (for security), browser type (for compatibility), and session data (to maintain your session). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, or advertising pixels.

How We Use Your Data

Resume Processing

Your resume text is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate improvements. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. We use their API configured for business use, meaning your data is not used to train their AI models.

Data Retention

We aim to keep data only as long as necessary. Resume text is retained temporarily during your session. We do not maintain a database of user resumes. Transaction records are kept for accounting purposes (typically 7 years for tax compliance).

Data Sharing

We share data only with:

  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Anthropic — AI resume enhancement

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Your Rights

You have rights over your personal data including access, deletion, correction, and portability. EU/EEA residents have additional rights under GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA. We do not sell personal information.

Security

We implement reasonable security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure payment processing through Stripe, and limited data retention. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions.
